What sets us apart

Rest assured that we will treat the handling and service of your documents with the highest levels of ethical integrity, professionalism, organization, efficiency and attention to detail. We are committed to our local BC community and serve Metro Vancouver, Greater Victoria and the Fraser Valley.

Expedited Motion Process Serving Ltd. is a local British Columbian company. Our staff are professionally trained and possess formal education in Criminology and the Canadian legal system from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and the University of British Columbia (UBC).

Additionally, all of our staff are bound to contractual confidentiality within the company. Our successful service rate in 2020 was 74.8% and averaging 1.65 attempts per job. Our team has successfully effected personal service even in the most unusual and challenging cases.

Since our inception in 2017, we have expanded to have offices in both Vancouver and Victoria. In addition, we have plans to open offices in the Fraser Valley and the Okanagan by 2025.

Our Beginnings

Downtown Vancouver is where we began. Our first incorporated office was located two blocks from Vancouver Provincial and Supreme Court Registries, on the 1100-Block of Howe Street. We began handling many Provincial-level files at the inception of our business. During this time, we served many BC Provincial Small Claims and BC Provincial Family documents – often for self-represented clients – while also providing court registry services by filing proofs of service with their respective Provincial Court Class.

We then moved on to accommodate larger clients and gained invaluable experience with the Supreme Court of British Columbia. We have served and filed many documents originating from the BC Supreme Court’s most prominent and busiest location; Vancouver Supreme Court Registry. Over the years, we have served many Foreclosure (H-Class), Civil (S-Class), Family (E-Class), Bankruptcy (B-Class), Enforcement/Legislated Statute (L-Class), and Motor Vehicle Accident (M-Class) documents. Thus, we have a thorough understanding of the Rules of Service and how service needs to be carried out on individuals and businesses for every class of document filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Our Team

Myles Stewart Founder & Director

Expedited Motion Process Serving Ltd. has its roots right here in the BC Lower Mainland. Myles J. Stewart, B.A., started the company out of his home office in Port Moody, BC, eventually moving to our Downtown Vancouver location. Shortly after completing his Bachelor of Arts, Myles established the company, majoring in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in June 2015. Myles was one of only two students in his program to simultaneously make the President’s and the Dean’s List in his final semester at SFU.

During his time at Simon Fraser University, Myles participated in the Field Practice program within the Faculty of Criminology. One of the many prerequisites required for the program was completing the Professional Ethics course (CRIM 369). CRIM 369 examined privileged communications and confidentiality within the workplace while providing students with an extensive comprehension of personal and professional ethics in the field of criminal justice.

The course also emphasized examining the conflict between the professional’s duty to protect society and their duty to the client, the ethics of decision making, and the legal restraints on professional conduct.

During the Field Practice program, Myles held a full-time internship position at the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform (ICCLR) within UBC’s Faculty of Law at Allard Hall.

The ICCLR was established in 1991 as a joint initiative between SFU, UBC, the Government of Canada, the Province of British Columbia, and the United Nations to enhance criminal justice policy and practices through various academic engagements. Myles was involved in numerous projects conducted by the ICCLR regionally and internationally.

Since then, Myles formed Expedited Motion Process Serving Ltd. in 2017 and has been a stalwart in the BC legal support community. Myles became a member of the National Association of Professional Process Servers in 2018 and has attended numerous conferences in San Diego, Orlando, Newport Beach, and various other host cities during this time. We have developed meaningful relationships with other companies across Canada and the USA from attending these conferences. We are also up to date regarding best practices and technology through our professional memberships and relationships.
